I had the pleasure of attending a media dinner for Teela Taqueria with the Association of Food Bloggers.
Teela Taqueria is located in the City Walk portion of the Sandy Springs, Georgia. If you ever experience rush hour traffic, this is a great place to enjoy some water mouthwatering margaritas and tasty tacos until traffic dies down.
What I loved the best about this place is there unique selection of tacos. Imagine a BLT in taco form. Believe it! My favorite taco was the chorizo stuffed taco – packed with dates, feta cheese, and bacon bits. It had the perfect combination of salty and sweet – yummy! Tacos range from about $3.00 -$4.00.
TACOS WITH A TWIST
BANG BANG SHRIMP- Shrimp tossed in smoky chili aioli and lettuce
FAJITA STEAK – Grilled steak, sautéed onion, green pepper & jalapenos, sweet chipotle dressing
CHORIZO STUFFED Grilled chorizo, stuffed with dates, feta cheese & bacon bits
GREEK GYRO Lamb gyro, tzaziki yogurt sauce, lettuce & tomato
SOUTHERN BLT Crispy fried bacon, mixed greens, fried green tomatoes, feta cheese and smoked chili aioli
If you enjoy your margaritas with a kick – try the ANGRY GIRLFRIEND that has pineapple and jalapeno infused tequila.
There is live music every Wednesday and a beautiful patio on the back to enjoy the nice weather. I highly recommend Teela Taqueria for their delicious food and friendly atmosphere.
