Look no further for paradise. Spend your honeymoon in Seychelles. Seychelles is known for its beautiful sandy beaches, tropical climate, and exotic wildlife. The country is made up of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean. Our recommendation for a romantic getaway is STORY Seychelles
Fly into Mahe International airport and then it’s a short 30 minute drive to the STORY Seychelles. You can arrange a car service with the resort or pick up a taxi at the airport. A local taxi accepts American dollars or their local currency (rupee.) Once we arrived, we looked at each other in amazement.
STORY Seychelles is known for its attention to detail and celebrating holidays throughout the year. We visited in December, so we didn’t feel far from home when we saw the giantic Christmas tree in the lobby.
Check In
Checking into the resort is effortless. After speaking to the staff at the reception, we were lead to a seating area and offered refreshing lemongrass lemonade as we confirmed the length of our stay.
Our Suite
After check in, we are escourted to our room via golfcart. The Junior Suite with Garden Terrace is spacious and modern with local decor. I highly recommend it. I love my room. High ceiling, air conditioner on full blast, excellent WiFi, clean, comfy bed, – everything I could need or want. Victorian oversized bathtub for the win!! The best thing to see after traveling for 24 hours.
The standout features were the free standing tub, rainfall shower, soft, yet firm king size bed, strong water pressure, the abundance of natural light, and the sunloungers right on our patio.

As we toured the resort, we also noticed the beautiful Beach Pool Villas, which is an upgrade from the Junior Suite.
The Property
The property is massive – with 9 dining options, on site spa, swimming pool, villas located steps from the ocean, lushcious greenery and its own private lagoon. As soon we stepped onto the property, we walked across a bridge to reach the lobby and saw the lagoon to our right.

Warm. Salty. Sandy.
The Food
Freshly baked bread, exotic fruits, natural honeycomb, and freshly pressed juices – these are a few of my favorite things.
STORY Seychelles serves up a world class breakfast in their open concept restaurunt called Vasco’s. Buffet style breakfast with an egg omelette station. Everything is delicious and the ingreidents are locally sourced.
You absolutely have to taste the freshly squeezed green apple juice. It’s the best juice I have ever had in my life.
