Have you ever wanted to visit Croatia? If you’re a lover of nature, you have to visit the Krka National Park, which is known around the world for its beautiful waterfalls. It is indeed one of the most romantic places in the world.
This blog post is part of the Seabourn Cruise series. We experienced an amazing holiday exploring the Mediterranean on a 7 Day Adriatic & Greek Isles Cruise. Our first stop was Vodice (Sibenick), Croatia and we decided to embark on the Krka National Park & Waterfalls excursion, which lasted approximately 3 and 1/2 hours.
From the ship, we boarded a smaller boat, called a tender which took us to the pier.
We were greeted by a representative for our excursion and then enjoyed a short five minute walk on our way to the motorcoach.
I love short commutes. It is a 20 minute drive to the national park. We had a guided tour to the Shradinski Buk Falls and had some down time to explore. The park is clean, safe, and well maintained.

I would highly recommend bringing multiple towels if you plan on swimming in the area. During peak season, the area is crowded with many tourists and locals alike – this makes the ground very muddy when entering the base of the waterfalls. I also recommend bringing local currency. Ice cream is the perfect treat on a hot summer day. For swimming, the water is approximately 3 feet deep – so whether you are an avid swimmer or just trying to cool off from the heat, you’ll enjoy it. I would bring water shoes as entering the water is very rocky.
