I just got back from the movie screening of Get Out. This is my top date night pick for the next 30 days. You have to see this movie. It’s everything you want and need from a movie and so much more. It is directed by Jordan Peele – his very first movie as a director. Go ahead, sir!
I have seen a couple previews and teasers online. I was really excited to see Daniel Kaluuya, who is known for his appearance in Black Mirror. He is an excellent actor – he will make you feel everything he feels.
So, what is this movie about?
A young African American man goes with his Caucasian girlfriend to visit her parents. Seems simple, right?
This movie will make you laugh, cry, applaud and have you on the edge of your seat with pure horror in your eyes. Yes, it’s that good.
Currently, it has a rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and now I know all the reasons why. Check out this screenshot:
This movie is an extreme thrill ride of the movie “Guess Whose Coming To Dinner.” This movie explores racial undertones and conflicts that an interracial couple would face. It will make you thick twice, but does not come off as preachy. It has humorous and has witty sentiments throughout. With a name like GET OUT, you think you will know ever turn – “typical horror movie,” but it will surprise you at every corner. Here’s the trailer.
I live for psychological thriller and horror movies and this is the best movie I have ever seen – quote me!
This is COMING TO A THEATER NEAR YOU this Friday, February 24th 2017. Don’t walk, run to see this movie. Whether you always go to the movies or you never do, you will want to see this.
