I recently got the opportunity to go on a sponsored trip with Miss Travel. Miss Travel is a dating site that connects people who have the same passion: traveling the world. Since I’m a TRAVEL ADDICT and an extreme extrovert- I jumped on this. See a new country with a new companion by my side? Where do I sign up?!?!
The date was taking place on the island of Grand Turk. I desperately wanted to explore more of the country and three days wasn’t enough time. I was able to find a cheaper non-stop flight on Delta and extended my trip to 7 days – Woot Woot! I flew into the island of Providenciales. Turks and Caicos Islands is made of several islands, but I heard the best resorts are located here.
AIRPORT
I was shocked how small the airport was. It took less than ten minutes to deplane, get processed through customs and get a taxi to my resort. I’m already feeling the Caribbean vibes with the laid back and stress free atmosphere.
THE RESORT
I spent 4 days and 3 nights at The Beach Resort TCI. It was a short 12 minute taxi from the airport. I welcomed the air conditioned lobby as I checked in. The staff was extremely friendly and even provided a complimentary rum punch on arrival. The lobby has a small shop to buy souvenirs, a computer for personal use, as well as DVD library to rent out movies during your stay.
WIFI
I have to make a separate category just to talk about the WIFI. It was amazing and STRONG. I am hesitant to book any property that has bad reviews regarding their internet connection. I could connect on my phone and iPad all over the property, except the beach.
THE ROOM
My favorite part of my stay was the feeling of home. My suite was spacious with a completely furnished kitchen, rain shower with toiletries, safe for my valuables, and a huge flat screen tv so I wouldn’t miss the 2016 Presidential Debate.
THE BEACH
When I walked out to the beach, I had my own private area to relax. There were a sign with my room name: completed with beach furniture and umbrellas.
The staff informed me that I would be receiving a surprise gift every night in my room. The Beach House TCI stands out from any other resort on the island because of the intimacy. You aren’t just one out of a hundred guests – they know your name and treat you as family. None of the rooms have numbers, only names.
The Beach House TCI is located in Grace Bay and has been rated the best beach in the world. I was skeptical of this title, but I understand why. The water is crystal clear and WARM. There aren’t any rocks, just soft sand.
ACTIVITIES
The Beach House TCI is a five minute walking to the Bright Reef – where I went snorkeling. The snorkeling equipment is included with your stay. I also went SAILING for the first time on a hobie cat: AMAZING. The wind on face was so refreshing and relaxing. The property has an array of amenities and entertainment: equipped gym, spa services, bar and lounge, darts, chess, water trampolines, in-ground pool that lights up night – that’s if you get bored of relaxing. 🙂
FOOD
I had breakfast on the property everyday at Kitchen 218. I opted for the fruit and granola (let’s keep the bikini body in check) – so fresh and tasty.
MORE ACCESS
One of the advantages of staying at The Beach House TCI – is the complimentary shuttle that goes to the sister properties: The Blue Haven Resort and Marina and The Alexandra Resort. This provided more access to restaurants and beach/pool amenities. By far, The Beach House TCI is the best place to stay with its access to the beach and the quality of the rooms.
FINAL OPINION
I had the time of my life and I’ll be back. A wedding and reception took place during my stay. It was beautiful to see love with the beautiful backdrop of the ocean.
