Welcome to October!
I’ve decided to start writing weekly posts focusing on the best date ideas in Atlanta! SHARE this with your friends and family when you’re stuck on what to do this week.
SUNDAY, October 2
Candler Park Festival provides a showcase for local artists and creatives alike. Take a stroll through the artist market and listen to some live music. The neighborhood opens up their homes, so you can get a unique perspective of what it’s like to live in Candler Park. Free Entry. Hours: 12:00PM – 9:00PM.
Dating With Passports Tip:

Sweet Auburn Music Festival offers a mix of hip-hop, R&B, and gospel music in downtown Atlanta. Free Entry 11:00AM -9:00PM.
Dating With Passports Tip:
I recommend taking UBER due to the high number of attendees.
Bring a blanket to get comfortable, a deck of cards to play, and some snacks to avoid high food vendors fees.

Anime Weekend Atlanta is the largest anime convention in the southeast! This is the best place for people watching – the costumes will be out of this world and the convention will be packed with fan panel, video games, and anime screenings.
Dating With Passports: Bring your camera or at a bare minimum a portable charger for your phone so you can capture all the action.

MONDAY, October 3
Pumpkin Festival and Afternoon Hike to Stone Mountain
If you have never been to Stone Mountain, now is the time. It’s cooler and an easier walk then during the sweltering heat of August. You won’t be disappointed by seeing the amazing view of the city once you get to the very top. If you dare, there is a pie eating contest at the pumpkin festival. Check out their website for details.
Dating With Passports Tip: The shortest walk up to stone mountain takes about 15 minutes and approximately one mile: bring your wlaking shoes.

TUESDAY, October 4
Georgia National Fair
There’s something about the smell of candy dipped apples, funnel cakes, and the sights and sounds of amusement park rides, that brings out the BIG KID we all have. Entry fee is $7.00 and it’s open September 30 – October 9th.
Dating With Passports Tip: Go during the week!! $10 wristband for all you can ride. Shorter lines and less of a headache.
WEDNESDAY, October 5
Iman Park Restaurant Week offers the chance to try out some great restaurants at a reduced rate. If you decide to partake in the pre-fix menu, expect an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $35 per person. I have my eye on Kevin Rathbun Steak.
THURSDAY, October 6
I’m a huge fan of the arts. I’ve seen a couple of plays at Seven Stages and I’m excited to announce that they are showcasing an all female cast of the Shakespearean romantic comedy: As You Like It. Tickets are $18.00. If you decide to go see it, let me know how you like it.
